AWARD PURPOSE:  Purpose of the Chief's Choice Award Program is to recognize E-6's and below for outstanding military appearance and bearing.  Other areas that may be considered are duty performance and civic contributions; all areas provide the opportunity to increase awareness of these attributes throughout the community. 

Active duty, guard, reserve, and retired Chief who observe Airmen and NCOs performing duties in a truly professional manner, are encouraged to nominate
that individual for the Chiefs' Choice Award. 

The process:

1. Observe professional performance by an Airman or NCO.
2. Inform the individual and obtain his/her supervisor, 1st Sgt,
   and/or chief's name.
3. Verify with individual's supervisor, 1st Sgt, and/or chief that
   he/she has no quality force indicators.
4. Once verified, invite the individual and his/her supervisor to
   attend the next scheduled Chiefs' Group meeting for recognition.
5. Notify me a minimum of 3 days in advance with the individual's
   rank and full name (and reason you nominated him/her) so I  can print,
   sign, and bring the certificate to the next scheduled Chiefs' Group
   meeting.
